The Broom.....

I guess when I think something is cute that is not the what the KID would think.  Gramps told her we had a treat for her and when he gave the broom to her I thought she was going to cry as it was not a treat.   We are on our way to DI now to find a real treat!!!!  Wonder what she will drag home this time.
The broom was not a success in our house this morning.  Maybe tomorrow it will be welcomed.

The Princess' Day

Today was Princess Day so we picked up Evan and she got to do whatever she wanted after we got our shopping done in Ogden.  First we had to buy a new back door at Home Depot before her day really began.  When we got home she was able to watch cartoons on the living room television (Grandpa's rule #1 is no cartoons on the living room television), then she moved to the bedroom and watched Wizard of Oz with Grandma (Granny fell asleep part way through, really not even to the color part) and then she helped pick grapes off the stems so we could make raisins (yummy!!).
We had loaded nachos for dinner, but she only wanted the nachos and the olives.  After dinner she made yummy cookies-----olive chocolate chip!!!
Gramps would not try them, but she said they were good.  Thank heavens she only made four of them.
When the cookies came out of the oven she had her friends come for warm cookies and Mallory was able to stay and play with her until 9:00 then we walked Mallory home.
Bedtime was our next stop for the day and of course it was on the couch bed.  She sure is a tiny little girl on such a big bed, but that is where her favorite place to sleep is.
Good night sweet Princess.  Tomorrow will be another fun day with all that you have planned to do.

Hyrum's 8th Bday

Hyrum is a little boy who had his 8th birthday on Saturday and his daddy and sisters brought him to our booth for a funnel cake to celebrate his big day.
Hyrum's dad will drive for a couple hours to enjoy our fried foods when he knows we are at a fair.  That is a loyal customer don't you think?
Hope you had a great day, Hyrum.  It was fun to be part of you birthday celebration.

Busy, Busy...

We just ended up with the Cache County Fair and begin the Davis County Fair tomorrow.  Man I am so tired and my leg hurts like the dickens.  Did something to it at Sunset and it still is not getting better.
We end the fair on Saturday and them it is rest time for a couple of weeks.  JOY!!!!
Wendy is with us now and she has been so much help this week.  Would not know what to do without her.  She is a blessing!!  I will miss her when she leaves on Sunday or Monday, depending on how hard this event is on us this week.
Here's to a good painless week!!!

He Is Home!!!

In the early hours of the morning, flags lined the street welcoming Derek home from Bahrain after four months being away from his family.  The scouts lined the street last evening in anticipation of his return.
His drive was lined on both sides
and we are so glad that he is home.

Welcome Home Son!!!
We Love You!!
