New Paint, New Pantry Units

Here are my new pantry units that we have been installing this past week.

We painted the kitchen praire sage and the pantry units are in white.  What a difference it has made to have a place for everything.  One thing that I learned in buying a 100 year old home is:
NO STORAGE OR PANTRY
Now I get to enjoy the luxury of having both.  My kitchen is AWESOME now.

Goodbye table...

Today this sweet breakfast nook found a new home.
The new owners were very happy with it and could hardly
wait to get it to their home.  It was a fun table, but now I
have wonderful pantry units where it used to sit.

Rider of the day...

This boy of mine rides his bike no matter what the weather. Started the day's ride in cold 35 degree weather this morning, snow on the ground and returned just as it was beginning to rain.

He is one dedicated person. Came to spend the night and brought the bike to keep up with his regular routine.

Painting Party....

Today we painted the kitchen and are putting in new pantry units in the nook area (a place that was good for nothing). The color is praire sage and the pantry units will be white to match the white cabinets and trim in the kitchen. New lights are going up also. I LOVE the new color. Next month comes the new bath in the master bedroom and new wall colors there.
Here are pictures of our painting party today.

(If you look real close you can see where Evan wrote her name in the paint)

Happy 1st Birthday Miss Payton!!

Today, my precious Payton Riley Curry, you are having your very first birthday. How this year has gone by so fast. Just a year ago today, I was in Denver anxiously awaiting the phone call that you had finally arrived. I could hardly contain my excitement when that call finally came. I was able to spend 2 1/2 weeks with you and your family and it sure was a sad day when Grammy had to get on that plane and fly home leaving my little munchkin there.

You and Mommy got to come see us for a couple of days in May for your great grandma Madsen funeral. What fun we had with you and gave you so many kisses. You were just so sweet that everyone wanted to kiss your sweet little cheeks and toes. We sure love you little Payton. While you were here we took a picture of you in a pioneer dress that was hand stitched for a little girl in our family and it is over 120 years old. I have a picture of your Mommy in this same dress when she was six months old.

Now look at you!! You are a big girl now and can crawl all over the place and can get into everything. You can talk and can stand by yourself. You like to play with Brea and Hayden and you give the sweetest kisses. Have a super fantastic day today on your very first birthday. We will be seeing you in a few weeks when we come to bring your special birthday gift that Papa has made for his little angel girl.

Love you so very much Miss Payton Riley Curry!!!!
