Our New Home…

Florence house

Well….it is done.  We are moving on June 5th to our new home.  We will be renting this home for the next two years and are retiring for good.

Our new home sits on the golf course at Magic Ranch in Florence, AZ.  It has been completely remodeled so it will be like moving into a new home. The remodel was finished last week.  What a treat this is going to be for us after living in a home that is over 100 years old for the last five years and it was needing tons of works still.

The decision to go to Arizona was so hard for us to make.  One day we were going to do one plan and the next day still something else.  It was getting depressing for us and we both started having stomach problems from the stress we were under.   We had looked at homes to rent in Louisiana, Utah and Arizona.  We had considered staying in Brigham City, but didn’t feel like that was where we were suppose to be.

I kept holding back because of the temple, but finally I realized that just because I was only two blocks away now, this beautiful building would always be a memory in my mind and heart and I could take that with me.  So with a very broken heart, tears in my eyes and upon my knees I got the answer as to where my next phase in life was to be.

We became serious about finding a home in Arizona and on Friday, May 18th, this home came up. I would not look at it as I was wanting in a different area, but Dick wanted more in the country than city.  The home sat on the market for four days, I called on Tuesday and it was still available.  I immediately got the paper work going and in less than 24 hours the house was ours and best of all, they would hold it until we got to AZ on June 7th.

So this is where we will be…..I know that we will be happy.  It is my hopes and dreams that family will come to see me.  I will make sure that now we are retired that we will visit our loved ones near and far.  Give us a few months to recoup from the move, then we will be able to start traveling.

Thanks everyone who kept us in your prayers during this most trying time.  I have personally felt your love and concern for us.  When times become hard, the ones you can count on are always there holding you up. My love goes out to all of you.
