Is there a Good Cook in the house?

These past few days have been horrid in the cooking department.  Here is an accounting of what has been happening with my cooking.
Friday:  Bread making day - forgot to set the timer and my bread in the loaf tins raised to high and then the bread looked, smelled and sounded done - center was slightly doughy so had to put bread back in tins and cook longer making bottom crust really crusty.
Saturday: Woke to the realization that I had forgotten to put the bread in bags and it was left sitting on the counter from noon on Friday until Saturday morning drying out. Later that night made a cake for Sunday dessert and the cake was rather crumbly.  Lady get a grip on things!!!
Sunday: Having company for dinner so only stay for two of the three Sunday meetings so I could get lunch fixed. Let the spaghetti sauce nearly burn before getting things ready - garlic bread got browner than should be but not burned - made way to many spaghetti noodles so will have baked spaghetti later in the week. Only three ate my crumbly cake and didn't complain (those blessed guests).
Monday: Made the best lima beans and ham for dinner (so good so far) let them cook all day so all of the seasonings were well blended - made cornbread (our bishop's wife's recipe - to die for).  Just did not turn out like it should all fluffy and soft.  It was like eating some wet cornmeal without any seasonings (pretty yucky).  Reread the recipe and lo and behold I forgot the soda.  Can't make good bread without levening to help it rise!!!
Tomorrow is left over day in our house.  Not going to cook for a couple of days and maybe the voodoo will pass.  Really I am a good cook, just look at my body and anyone can tell I love to cook and eat!!!
